Bontrager H5 Hardcase Ultimate Tire (700c)

Bontrager's H5 Hardcase Ultimate is perfect for your everyday commuter. This tough tire has a semi-slick center tread for minimal rolling resistance, water-channeling sipes that redirect liquid away from the tread for traction in wet weather, and slightly raised knobs on the sides that provide cornering traction. Plus, the H5 features Bontrager's Hardcase Ultimate puncture protection with four levels of flat prevention because nobody likes to get flats.

      Comments:

I've had these tires for almost three years and have put on over 6000 miles and they still have plenty of thread left. I use to get flats from very small thorns that blew up on a paved bike trail. I haven't had a flat since. I can't believe how good these tires are. I was hesitant at first to purchase these tires due to the price but now I'd actually pay more. Please don't tell bontrager!! :)

        Comments:

Not suited well for Rail-trail riding (hard pack/crushed stone. Flat after ~ 200mi. Doesn't wear particularly well. I'm certain they would be fine on Asphalt; best to keep this tire there.

My wife bought me a new Trek dual sport bicycle for Christmas in 2011. It came with a set of these tires. I am a very avid cyclist and have put 1200 miles on these tires, without any flats. I am just now replacing the rear tire with one exactly the same. They work well rain or shine. I would recommend this tire!
