What's the secret behind the Furtado's supremacy? For starters, Juliana's Furtado C features a full carbon frame with the renowned VPP suspension design to make short work of gnarly descents and tricky climbs. The advanced VPP (Virtual Pivot Point) design has been refined to create lower standover heights, and the slightly longer top tube allows the use of shorter stems for more responsive handling. The 67 degree head tube angle and short chainstays give you a controlled, responsive navigation and snappy handling through tight obstacles. It’s a powerful descender and nimble climber that more than lives up to its reputation as Queen of the Mountain. Plus, the Furtado is sensitive to trail inputs, with a softer top end that offers a smoother ride over small bumps. As you move through the 130mm of Rockshox and Fox-powered travel, however, the suspension gets more supportive and progressive, so you don’t lose momentum over chunky rocks and big roots. Reliability, thy name is Shimano's XT and SLX components, a drivetrain that punches up the climbs and flies down the trail with fast-shifting accuracy. Tubeless-ready 27.5-inch WTB rims, Maxxis tires with a grippy Minion up front and a drift-happy Ardent in the rear, 148mm rear spacing, and internal dropper post routing continue the absolute rule of this ride. Hop on the Furtado and embrace the adventures of mountain biking—hard climbs, fast descents, and long days in the woods aboard two wheels.
